Complaints

What we can do

If something on this editorial is wrong (a stale bonus figure, a dead link, a wrong rand amount, a typo in a payment-rail name) tell us and we will fix it, usually within a day. If something on this editorial is unfair, biased or misleading, tell us and the editor on duty will review the page and respond on the record. We can also fix broken images, dead outbound links, outdated bonus figures and promo codes that have expired. The quickest route is e-mail: paragraph by paragraph is easier for us to action than a general «something is wrong» message. If you quote the sentence you disagree with, the fix usually ships the same day; if you only name the page we have to re-read it in full first.

Escalation

If our first-line reply does not resolve the issue, ask for an editorial review. The duty editor rotates weekly; the request moves up the chain and we commit to a written outcome within ten working days. If you are still unhappy you may raise the matter with the Advertising Regulatory Board of SA or with a court. If the operator at the end of our outbound link is the real target of your complaint, we are happy to forward the complaint to the operator through our partner contact, but the operator is not obliged to copy us on the reply. Our forwarding is best-effort, and we recommend ringing the official SuperSportBet support line in parallel so the trail starts with the operator and not with a middleman.

What to prepare

Before you write, please have the exact URL of the page, a screenshot or quoted sentence, the time of your visit in SAST, your contact details for the reply, and the correction you would like. The more we can match your note to the specific line we published, the quicker we can fix it. For complaints about accuracy a screenshot is the easiest evidence; for complaints about tone, a direct quotation from our text helps us understand how the words landed. For complaints about missing disclosure, a dated screenshot before the fix is particularly useful because our «changes» log will not retain the exact previous wording after the correction ships.

Operator complaints

Complaints about SuperSportBet itself (withdrawal timing, bonus credit, account closure, KYC rejections) have to go to the operator because we do not hold your account, your money or your identity. The National Gambling Board of South Africa oversees licensed operators and is the next step if the operator refuses to engage. The National Gambling Board can order a licensed operator to resolve a dispute within a specified period, but it does not act as a small-claims court. If your complaint turns on a contested bet (a settled market, a voided wager) you may also need to approach a provincial board; which one depends on where the operator is licensed. We can point you at the right board on request.

Timeline

First response within one business day. Fact correction within three business days. Editorial review within ten working days. POPIA data requests within thirty days. All timelines run in SAST, Monday to Friday, excluding South African public holidays. We publish our complaints log statistics once a quarter: how many complaints we received, how many were upheld, how many were escalated, how long the median response took. The log is anonymised and is intended as a trust signal rather than a public shaming forum. Readers who prefer to be named in the log can request that when they file the complaint.

How to complain

Send the complaint to editor at super-sport-bet.com with the subject line Complaint, followed by the page slug. Keep the message to the specific issue, attach your evidence, and tell us how you would like us to reach you. We log every complaint, assign a reference and quote it back in the first reply. If e-mail is not practical for you, a postal address for formal complaints is published annually in the «contact» page because we rotate the registered office each financial year. Please do not file complaints via the operator channel; the operator will not forward them to us and we only learn about them through readers who come back. Direct is faster for everyone.
